DUSHANBE, December 12, Asia-Plus -- A presentation of a new project for improvement of business environment in Central Asia will be held in Dushanbe today.
The Business Environment Improvement (BEI) Project is a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project, implemented by The Pragma Corporation. The main objective of this project designed for four years is to promote entrepreneurship and economic development through reducing legal, regulatory and administrative burden on enterprises of the small and medium-sized businesses.
According to the USAID Dushanbe Office, representatives from Tajikistan’s ministries and organizations, as well as representatives from small and medium businesses, associations, donors and international organizations will attend the project-presenting ceremony.
The BEI Project will work directly with government, certain regional and city administrations, as well as with enterprises from the private sector and associations.
The project will also provide consulting assistance, conduct training and, in some case, provide limited financial support to associations and selected groups from the private sector, dedicated to further effective reforms and come out for improvement of legal business environment.
