DUSHANBE, December 29, Asia-Plus - Officers from the Operational Group of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) staying in Tajikistan have provided humanitarian aid to orphans in Tajikistan.
Lieutenant-Colonel Viktor Letov, the Operational Group Public Relations Officer, told Asia-Plus that the Group staff had collected personal donations to purchase food products, wheat flour, vegetable oil, and sugar for pupils at Dushanbe orphanage # 1 and veterans of the border troops.
Will recall that under the bilateral agreement that was signed on October 16, 2004, an operational group of the Federal Security Service has stayed in Tajikistan to perform advisory functions, provide assistance to Tajik border guards in the effective border patrolling and training of the young generation of border guards.
