DUSHANBE, April 27, Asia-Plus -- Awards ceremony for winners of the competition “Child Labor As Obstacle to Implementation of the Right of Education” will be held in Dushanbe today afternoon.
According to the Dushanbe non-governmental organization Dom Molodyozhi (House of Youth), schoolchildren aged 12 to 17 at all schools of Dushanbe took part in the contest that was held from April 18 to April 26 as part of the UN initiative Education for All.
Schoolchildren aged 12 to 15 participated in the drawing contest “Child Labor and Education” and senior pupils aged 16 to 17 participated in the essay competition “Child Labor As Obstacle to Implementation of the Right of Education.”
The action was held by an initiative of International Labor Organization (ILO) in cooperation with NGOs Dom Molodyozhi, Nasli Navras and the Youth Center Molodyozh-21 Vek (Youth-21st Century).
