DUSHANBE, May 17, Asia-Plus -- A week of Youth started in Tajikistan on May 17.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Mavlon Sharipov, the head of the information analysis department within the Committee for Youth Sports and Tourism, a number of activities will be organized during the Week that runs through May 23, when a Day of Tajikistan’s Youth is marked.
“We intend to hold charitable actions in baby houses and orphanages, the competition “Tajikistan’s Student of the Year”, republican conference of young researchers dedicated the 1,150th birthday of founder of Tajik-Persian classic literature Abu Abdullo Rudaki and various contests among female students,” Sharipov said, noting that Week will end with a cultural program Shomi Javonon (youth party), which will be held on May 24.
