DUSHANBE, June 4, Asia-Plus -- 100 tons of Kyrgyz wheat flour re expected to be delivered to Tajikistan today, Asia-Plus has learned at the Committee for Emergency Situations (CES).
The source at a CES said that the flour, provided by Kyrgyzstan in relay to the severe winter crises that hit Tajikistan in 2007/8 and its impact on the country’s economy, is being shipped to Khujand, Sughd province.
Kyrgyzstan has provided totaling 200 tons of wheat flour to Tajikistan and Afghanistan. By Kyrgyz government’s resolution of May 22 200 tons of a bulk of grade 1 wheat flour delivered from China is distributed to Tajikistan and Afghanistan. The two countries receive 100 tons of flour each.
