ISFARA, June 25, 2008, Asia-Plus -- The summer holiday season is in full swing in Tajikistan and summer camps in the Isfara district have opened doors to schoolchildren.
According to the Isfara education department, local enterprises and organizations have assumed organization of summer holiday for schoolchildren in out-of-town camps. “Thus, the summer camp Solnyshko on the bank of the Isfarinka River, belonging to the Isfara chemical plant, have accepted 400 children and hundreds of children of local miners are currently having rest in the summer camp belonging to the Shurob coal mine directorate,” the Isfara education official said.
He added that local authorities had allocated more than 10,000 somonis for organization of summer holidays of children from vulnerable families and gifted children in the summer camp named after Yuri Gagarin.
In all, more than 1,200 Isfara children are expected to have rest in four local out-of-town camps this summer.
