DUSHANBE, June 26, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A roundtable meeting, entitled “Global Problems of Mankind and Climate Change: Prognosis and Realities” opened at the Discussion Club “Press-Center” of the Public Association “Ittiloot va Muoshirat” (Information and Communication) in Dushanbe today morning.
According to the Discussion Club “Press-Center”, the meeting participants have been discussing issues related to climate change and increase in anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions as a key indicator of climate change.
The meeting has been held within the framework of preparations for the international conference to discuss water-related disaster risk reduction that will open in the Tajik capital tomorrow.
