According to him, the main objective of the survey is in determining role of different components of the system of functioning of state and society to provide sustainable development and create conditions promoting establishment of atmosphere of respectability.
“The survey thoroughly analyzed activities of such important institutions of society as executive, legislative and judicial powers, electoral commissions, law enforcement agencies, anticorruption agency, media, civil society, business sector, international institutions,” Karimov said.
Assessment of activities of different institutions of Tajik society has revealed that over the past several years, a certain work has been carried out in the country to establish principles of respectability that has had appreciable impact on reduction of corruption level in the country, the program manager said. “However, a general situation still remains weak and requires drastic measures from all interest sides, including executive, legislative, and judicial powers as well as law enforcement agencies, media, civil society, business sector and international institutions,” the program manager said.
Along with analysis of different structures of state and society, the survey also prepared recommendations on improvement of activities of these structures.
