Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to the Republic of Uzbekistan with residence in the Russian Federation Carlos Antonio da Rocha Paranhos visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan on August 19.
The aim of the visit to chamber is to acquaint with business opportunities in Uzbekistan and discuss perspectives of cooperation among businesses of two countries.
Ambassador Carlos Antonio da Rocha Paranhos arrived in Uzbekistan to hand over credentials to the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov. It is expected that the ceremony will take place on August 20. During his visit, the Brazilian envoy will hold negotiations with local authorities on expansion of cooperation between Brazil and Uzbekistan.
At the meeting in chamber, Ambassador Carlos Antonio da Rocha Paranhos noted that the delegation of Brazilian businesses led by Vice Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade Ivan Ramalho will pay a visit to Uzbekistan in the end of the year.
The sides deemed it expedient to exchange information on planned exhibitions, conference, seminars and other events, which could be interesting for both sides. Brazilian envoy expressed interest in exhibitions organized in Uzbekistan, in particular in expositions in agriculture, oil and gas and others.
Brazilian diplomat said that his country could export t Uzbekistan such products as aircrafts, vehicles and spare parts, animal produce and poultry.
