Financial turmoil that recently hit the developed countries is likely to cause decrease of number of tourists willing to visit Kyrgyzstan, the World Bank expert John Lukomnik said.
Another negative impact the expert sees in possible investment slowdown. “People are afraid to invest money in something,” Lukomnik said.
WB experts have warned about possible threat of money transfer reduction from labor migrants working abroad.
“Global recession will touch every economy, depending on its ties with foreign countries,” the expert added.
