Another strong quake rocked the Alai region of Osh oblast, Kyrgyzstan Thursday, October 24, 2008, press service of the Kyrgyz emergencies ministry reported.
The National Seismology Institute says the 6 magnitude tremor hit the area at 11:50 local time, with epicenter in China close to the border with Kyrgyzstan, only 35 km north-west from the village of Nura flattened by an earthquake several weeks ago.
