Kazakh Foreign Minister Marat Tazhin and his FRG counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier signed action program within partnership for future between Kazakhstan and the Federative Republic of Germany, Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported.
Signing ceremony was held in Germany on May 7 during the official visit of Kazakh Foreign Minister to Germany.
The action program is a roadmap for implementation of bilateral projects within multilateral partnership of the countries.
The sides will now be able to hold regular political consultations at the level of Foreign Ministries using effectively opportunities provided by Kazakhstan chairmanship in OSCE in 2010. Germany will continue training workshops for RK diplomats at the Centre for OSCE Research.
Besides Kazakhstan lawyers, judges and prosecutors will have an opportunity of fellowships in FRG legal organizations to study the German experience applicable in Kazkah judicial reforms.
Perspective are opened in the trade-economic relations between the two countries. The sides agreed on implementation of joint innovative and investment projects within Joint statement on cooperation for formation of innovative-investment partnership for 2011 between Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Trade of Kazakhstan and German Ministry of Economics and Technology signed on September 3, 2008 in Astana.
Establishment of Kazakh-German Chamber of Industry and Trade contribute to the economic cooperation.
Agency on Statistics of Kazakhstan and Federal Statistical Office of Germany this year will start implementation of projects of joint cooperation in statistics.
Ecology and environment protection is an uppermost priority to be addressed within the signed program. Kazakhstan and Germany are already implementing the project on "Improved Management of Water Resources in Central Asia" in the frames of the German Water Initiative, referred to as "Berlin process."
