Islamic corporation, affiliated with Islamic Development Bank (IDB), allocated credit lines for three banks of Uzbekistan with a total value of US $42 million.
An agreement on development of cooperation for a total value of US $42 million was signed between National Bank, "Asaka-bank," "UzPromstroibank" of Uzbekistan, and Islamic corporation on private sector development affiliated with IDB on June 9, as reported in National Bank. Given capital is planned to be directed to organization of new productive capacities of industry, increasing farmers'' activity efficiency, development of transportation and information technologies spheres.
Uzbekistan became the member of IDB in 2003. Since then IDB provided US $115 million for realization of 9 projects to the republic. IDB credit funds are directed to providing equipment to Republican center of emergency medicine and its regional branches, modernization and equipping of enterprise on asphalt concrete production for Tashkent roads development, power line construction, secondary schools equipping, financing of private enterprises.
