During his stay in New York, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The sides expressed their interest to build mutually beneficial cooperation, reported in the press service of the head state.
"Turkish people are sincerely proud of the achievements of their Turkmen brothers who, despite a sweeping global economic crisis, continue to successfully implement enormous economic and social reforms initiated by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov," Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
The head of the Turkish government also said that "businessmen of his country are hugely interested in expanding their presence in the promising Turkmen market and the very active participation in projects implemented in Turkmenistan." One of them is a project to create the national tourist zone "Avaza".
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in turn, noted Turkmenistan''s willingness to continue the fruitful long-term dialogue with Turkish partners.
