At the State Security Council meeting on December 2, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on pardoning persons sentenced to imprisonment in honor of the national holiday - Day of Neutrality. The Turkmen leader said this document applies to 3934 people, including 19 foreign nationals. According to a decree published in the central mass media outlets, they will be exempt from further service of sentence.
The President instructed the heads of law enforcement agencies to take all necessary measures to ensure that all pardoned meet the upcoming holiday at home, with their families.
