DUSHANBE , May 22, Asia-Plus - Tajik soccer team “Vakhsh” from Qurghon Teppa yesterday lost the final game for the Cup of the President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), according to information from Tajikistan Football Federation.  

In the final game, Tajik soccer players competed against from Kyrgyzstan ’s soccer team “Dordoy” and lost the game.  The final score was 1-2.  The winner of the AFC President’s Cup receives US$50,000 and the team taking the second place receives US$25,000, the source said.   

The competition for the AFC President’s CUP was held in Malaysia on May 10-21.  We will recall that last year, Tajik soccer team “Regar-TadAZ” defeated the Kyrgyz team “Dordoy” in the final game for the AFC President’s Cup and won the Cup.
