DUSHANBE, April 16, Asia-Plus - Tajik athletes won five medals in an international boozing tournament that was held in Thailand from April 7 to April 12, 2007, according to Tajikistan’s Boxing Federation.
A source at the Tajik Boxing Federation said sportsmen from 30 countries had took part in the tournament. Tajikistan was represented by seven athletes, according to the source.
“Sherali Dostiyev (48 kg) won the gold medal, Marouf Fayzulloyev (60 kg) – silver medal and Bahodour Karimov (57 kg), Sherali Mahmadaliyev (69 kg) and Jahon Qurbonov (81 kg) won bronze medals,” the source said, noting that Tajikistan was ranked fourth in the tournament.
