DUSHANBE, August 21, Asia-Plus — An International U-13 Tennis Tournament for Tajik President’s Cup kicked off at the Central Stadium in Dushanbe on August 20.
Ibod Sharifi, vice-president of Tajikistan’s Tennis Federation, told Asia-Plus that during five days, 55 young tennis players, including 31 boys and 24 girls under the age of 13, from all Central Asia’s countries and Iran will be competing for the prizes. A total amount of prize money is $10,000, according to him.
The tournament has been held in Dushanbe since 2005 under support of Committee for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism, the National Olympic Committee and Tajikistan’s Tennis Federation.
