DUSHANBE
, April 24, Asia-Plus - A series of training seminars are supposed to have been for Tajik entrepreneurs this year on the issues of
Tajikistan
’s admission to the World Trade Organization (WTO), according to information from
Tajikistan
’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).
The CCI source says experts from the
Swiss
Center
“Ideas” will conduct these seminars. An agreement on this subject has been reached in
Dushanbe
during a meeting Odil Sangov, deputy head of Tajik CCI, with Ms. Lilia Olafsdottir (phonetically spelled), representatives from the “Ideas” Center.
In the course of the talks Mr. Sangov noted that the Tajik side was interested in conduct of such workshops because after
Tajikistan
’s joining the WTO various issues related to export/import operations, exhibition-fair activity and certification of commodities could rise.
80 percent of members of
Tajikistan
’s CCI are private organizations. This year, it is planned to arrange 12 training seminars for them. The workshops will be held not only
Dushanbe
but also in the provinces, according to the source.
