According to information from “Tojikgaz” (Tajik state gas concern), the “Uztransgaz” (Uzbek gas supply company) has sent a telephoned telegram to “Tojikgaz” notifying of reduction in gas supplies following existing debts. In this connection, supply of natural gas to residential buildings will reduce.
According to figures provided by the State Committee for Statistics, compared to January-March 2005 natural gas supplies over the first quarter of this year have increased by 9.2 percent and amounted to 175 cubic meters for a total amount of US$9.6 million U.S. dollars.
