DUSHANBE, June 8, Asia-Plus -- Open joint-stock company (OJSC) AgroInvestBonk intends to carry out an action on free distribution of Visa Electron card to all those interested not younger then 14 from June 20-30.   

Ikhtiyor Rahimov, the head of the AgroInvestBonk plastic cards and payment system development department, has told Asia-Plus that during period those interested may open deposit at AgroInvestBonk and receive Visa Electron plastic card for free.  

According to him, this action will be carried out for the purpose of attracting more clients to their bank.  

“Besides, AgroInvestBonk offers juridical entities introduction of wage projects, under which plastic cards will be distributed to employees of those companies also for free,” Mr. Rahimov said.  

Rahimov says that out of the action the Visa Electron card costs 25 Somonis.  

To date, AgroInvestBonk has installed 31 bank machines across the republic.  

AgroInvestBonk joined the payment systems Visa and Master Card in 1996 and began emitting plastic cards for these payment systems.  

Visa Electron is a general-purpose debit payment product that combines risk management control for issuers with outstanding cardholder utility.  Visa Electron works like any Visa card except that each transaction must be electronically authorized.  Complementing the Visa debit program, Visa Electron allows cardholders to make purchases at merchant locations with electronic authorization terminals and to access cash through the Visa Global ATM network of more than one million ATMs in over 160 countries.  Over 346 million Visa Electron cards have been issued around the world, including Asia, Central and South America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
