China telecom leader ZTE intends to finance three projects in Tajikistan

’s ZTE Corporation intends to implement three new projects in the Tajik telecommunications sector, presidential press service reported.
According to the source, this issue was discussed at a meeting of President Rahmonov with senior representatives from
China
’s telecom leader in
Shanghai
on June 15.
A total cost of these projects is US$70 million.
Rahmonov has ordered relevant structures of
Tajikistan
to study a proposal of
China
’s company. ZTE Corporation has been working in
Tajikistan
for more than two years. It is founder of the closed joint-stock company (CJSC) “TK-Mobile”, one of cellular operators in
Tajikistan
working on the CDMA-2000 IX standard.
