DUSAHNBE, June 21, Asia-Plus -- 250 conscripts called up for service in sub-units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) took the oath today.

Before taking the oath, the conscripts had one-month training courses on various disciplines, including driver, builder and rescuer.

“We are satisfied with physical and professional training of our conscripts” Emergencies Minister Mirzo Ziyoyev told journalists following the oath-taking ceremony.  He noted that despite large numbers of the MES personnel they experienced shortage of human resources.

According to information from the MES press service, at present more than 2,000 servicemen are serving in sub-units of the ministry.
