DUSHANBE, June 26, Asia-Plus -- A ceremony of handover of digital switching and transmission equipment to Tajik national television was held in Dushanbe today morning.
According to information from the Tajik national TV, the necessary equipment has been purchased by the Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting and the Republican TV Center.
“The digital equipment will allow improving quality of the broadcast programs,” said the source, “Besides, Tajik national TV is being renamed “First Channel” and it is expected that after installation of the digital equipment Tajik national television will broadcast without day break.”
Besides, as the head of the Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting Asadullo Rahmonov had previously stated, the national TV will increase a number of analytical programs.
At present some 97 percent of population in Tajikistan may pick up the Tajik national TV. Besides, the national TV programs also may be picked up in northern Afghanistan and Uzbek areas bordering on Tajikistan.
