Tajikistan
as Seen by Small and Medium Enterprises” was held in
Dushanbe
today.
According to information International Finance Corporation (IFC) Dushanbe Office, the Report presented by IFC, is the result of survey of the small and medium enterprises (SME) sector in
Tajikistan
conducted in March-May this year within the framework of the second phase of the project for development of small and medium enterprises. The aim of the survey was to discover entrepreneurs’ attitudes to prevailing business conditions and the government reforms in this are. The conduct of the survey was made possible through the financial support of the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
The survey is a continuation of the analogous survey conducted in 2003 on the main administrative process and conditions for activity of entities of small and medium businesses in the country.
The Report is based on independent survey of some 2,500 entrepreneurs working in all sectors and regions of
Tajikistan
.
According to the source, the survey results will help observe dynamic of reforming of administrative procedures and development of entrepreneurship in the country over the past three years.
