DUSHANBE, July 10, Asia-Plus -- Turkey intends to study Tajikistan’s business environment for further possible investment in Tajik economy’s sector, which will be of the most beneficial for it, according to information from the Turkish Embassy in Dushanbe.  

A Turkish delegation led by Mr. Fedat Aslaz (phonetically spelled), Turkish co-chairman of Tajik-Turkish commission for economic and trade cooperation, will arrive in Dushanbe on July 12 for a working visit.  

According to the source, during their stay in Tajikistan representatives from the Turkish delegation will hold meetings with Matlubkhon Davlatov, State Adviser to the Tajik President for Economic Matter, Economy and Trade Minister Hakim Soliyev, Industries Minister Zayd Saidov, Minister of Transport Abdurrahim Ashurov, Chairman of the State Committee for Management of State-owned Property Sherali Gulov, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry head Sharif Saidov.  The Tajik side is expected to submit for consideration to the Turkish delegation a number of investment projects in the filed of industry, transportation, and other sectors. 

Turkey is also planned to negotiate with Tajik officials the construction of supermarket in Tajik capital. 

Members of the Turkish delegation are also expected to meet representatives from business circles of Tajikistan to discuss bilateral economic cooperation between Turkey and Tajikistan .

The source says that Turkish entrepreneurs have implemented various projects in Tajikistan totaling some US$172 million since the Nineties.  A volume of direct investments invested by Turkish entrepreneurs in authorized capitals of joint ventures in Tajikistan has amounted to US$23 million.
