DUSHANBE, August 30, Asia-Plus -- An official opening of two hostels for students of the Dushanbe higher educational institutions was held today.
According to information from the Committee for Construction and Architecture, President Rahmonov today morning took part in an inauguration of a renovated hostel for orphan girls that will study at the Dushanbe higher educational institutions.
“This hostel consisting of two buildings is located in the Nahimov Street and intended for accommodating more than 400 students,” said the Asia-plus interlocutor, “For one of this building, Tajik National University has ordered and another one has been built by order of the Committee for Family and Women’s Affairs.” The country’s government has provided 1.80 million Somonis for renovation of these buildings, according to the source.
Today, Emomali Rahmonov also inaugurated a hostel for female students who entered the Dushanbe higher educational institutions by presidential quota. This hostel located in the Mayakovsky Street is intended for 633 students. The source says 2.40 million Somonis have been provided for major repairs to the hostel’s building.
