KONIBODOM, September 1, Asia-Plus -- Renovated School No 5 in the Qazoqon mahalla (community) in northern city of Konibodom opened its doors to pupils today.
The school head, Ms. Saodat Azizova, has told Asia-Plus that the school was rehabilitated under financial support of the National Social Investment Fund of Tajikistan (NSIFT) within the framework of the poverty reduction project.
Secondary School No. 5 in Konibodom was built in 1930. The School building hasn’t been renovated for the past twenty years. The completed rehabilitation allowed 480 schoolchildren studying in appropriate conditions.
NSIFT has provided 400,000 Somonis for the rehabilitation of the school. “Local residents have collected some 40,000 Somonis, 7,000 Somonis have been provided from the city budget, and the Qazoqon resident Bahodur Vahhobov has donated 3,000 Somonis for rehabilitation of the school,” Ms Azizova said.
Ms. Sanoat Fathulloyeva, representative from NSIFT, has handed over computer to the schools.
