KULOB, September 21, Asia-Plus - A series of roundtable meetings on preparations for the presidential election have been launched din the Kulob region of Khatlon.

Dodarbek Saidaliyev, director of the Civil Society Support Center “Shahrvand”, which is engaged in arranging these meetings, said that the meetings are part of the “Holding of Free and Democratic Elections” project funded by the commission for democratization at the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe.  

According to him, US$5,000 have been provided for organizing the roundtable meetings and posters on the election subject.
