DUSHANBE, February 27, Asia-Plus -- US Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Ambassador Julie Finley is expected to arrive in Tajikistan next week for a four-day visit (March 5-8), according to the Tajik MFA.
A source at the Tajik MFA said that the purpose of the visit is for Ms. Finley to discuss with high-ranking Tajik state officials issues related to cooperation with Tajikistan and the United States within OSCE.
Noor Umarov, Information Assistant, US Embassy in Dushanbe, said that during her stay in Tajikistan, Julie Finley is scheduled to meet with Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zaripov, State Adviser to the Tajik President for International Matters Erkin Rahmatulloyev and other officials.
US Permanent Representative to OSCE is also scheduled to visit the OSCE Center in Dushanbe and its office in Khujand to familiarize herself with their work, as well as meet with representatives from civic society of Tajikistan.
