DUSHANBE, April 25, Asia-Plus – Ekho Permi – A practical conference formally titled “Social Adaptation of Migrants: Experience of Cooperation between Perm Authorities and Tajik Diaspora” was held at the State Public Gorky Library in the Russian city of Perm on April 24.  

The news agency Ekho Permi says the conference, dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and Tajikistan, considered issues related to adaptation of migrants in the Urals region.

Participants of the conference, initiated by the Tajiks of Kama River Region (western Urals) public association, included senior representatives from the Perm authorities, heads of Tajik Diasporas in Yekaterinburg, Izhevsk, Kazan Orienburg, Samara, as well as chief coach of  Perm Amkar (soccer team) Rashid Rahimov and heads of the Perm ethnic communities.  

Researchers from local university, lawyers and journalists also took part in the conference’s work.
