DUSHANBE, May 31, Asia-Plus - New Israeli Ambassador to Tajikistan Ehud Gol (with residence in Jerusalem) today presented copy of his credentials to Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi.
According to Tajik MFA, in the course of the talks Zarifi and Gol exchanged views on state and prospects of expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Israel. The two confirmed the necessity of intensification of interstate relations, expansion of trade and economic cooperation and strengthening of inter-civilization dialogue. .
The minister noted that Tajikistan is interested in using Israeli advanced technologies and experience in development of agrarian, water and energy, as well as health sectors. Zarifi stressed that increased attention of Tajikistan to countries of the Middle East lays foundation for further development of many-sided cooperation with Israel.
Israeli diplomat, for his part, noted that he will take efforts to raise level of political dialogue and promote expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in different fields.
