DUSHANBE, July 14, Asia-Plus — Throughout Tajikistan over the first six months of 2007, 300 real estate properties have been privatized, and since the beginning of privatization – 11,862, according to the State Committee for Investments and Management of the State-owned Property.
Of these 300 properties, eight were medium-sized and large enterprises as well as 292 small enterprises, including 265 municipal properties. Besides, 145 equipment and vehicles have been privatized over the report period.
Over the same six-months period, the national budget has received 1.066 million somonis and local budgets have received totaling 456,531 somonis from renting state-owned properties.
In all, rent agreements for a total amount of 3.213 million somonis have been concluded with 1,018 physical and legal entities in January-June 2007. 288 republic-owned have been rented for 2.37 million somonis, the committee source said.
He also added that under the strategic plan for privatization of medium-sized and large enterprises and restructuring subject of natural monopoly and especially large enterprises for 2003-2007, state-owned shares of 413 share-stock companies have been sold in January-July 2007.
