DUSHANBE, August 30, Asia-Plus — Tomorrow morning, President Emomali Rahmon will participate in an official ceremony of opening of a new school to accommodate 1,154 pupils in the Khovaron area of Dushanbe, Asia-Plus has learned at press service of the Ministry of Education (MoE).
Iskandar Aminov, and official with a MoE, said that 9.3 million somonis had been provided from the national budget for construction of that school. Further 5,500 somonis were provided for purchase of school equipment, according to him. 37 teachers will work with this school.
The same day, President Rahmon will also participate in an inauguration of a new school in the Tursunzoda district.
On September 1, the president is expected to make working trip to the Rasht district, where he will also inaugurate a new school and visit the earthquake-hit villages.
3,830 schools now function in Tajikistan; another 78 schools will open in new academic year.
