DUSHANBE, September 26, Asia-Plus — The seventh congress of the Islamic Revival Party (IRPT) has reelected Muhiddin Kabiri as party leader.
Besides, 140 delegates that participated at the congress elected the party board consisting of 49 persons. Two members of the Islamic Revival Party serving their sentences in penal colonies, including Shamsiddin Shamsiddinov, were also elected to the new party board.
The previous board of the party had consisted of 41 persons.
Muhammadsharif Himmatzoda remains ideological leader of the party. Himmatzoda was elected as ideological leader of the party last year.
