DUSHANBE, December 24, Asia-Plus -- A forum of Tajik entrepreneurs, staged by the State Committee for Investments and Management of State-owned Property, opened at the Kokhi Vahdat State Complex in Dushanbe today morning.
The conference has brought together more than 1,300 entrepreneurs from all regions of the country. 200 entrepreneurs from Dushanbe, 130 from Khatlon and 100 from Sughd, as well as 25 entrepreneurs from Gorno Badakhshan are attending the meeting. Representatives from districts subordinate to the center (RRPs) have also arrived in Dushanbe to take part at the forum.
Representatives from the government institutions and international financial institutions accredited in Tajikistan have also been invited to attend the meeting.
On December 25, representatives of the Tajik business circles will meet with President Emomali Rahmon.
We will recall that during a meeting with senior representatives of the government and leading businesspeople on November 21, President Rahmon called for greater investment in strategically significant projects essential ford development of the country and stressed that development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) was one of the basic purposes of the government’s economic policy. He also highlighted the need for entrepreneurs and businessmen to familiarize themselves with modern foreign technologies. The president also announced a follow-up meeting set for December.
