DUSHANBE, January 4, Asia-Plus -- Dushanbe’s City Creative Center for Children hosted a working session of Tajikistan’s Small Academy of Sciences on January 4.
Safarali Nozimov, director general of the Center for Educational Activities in Out-of-School at the Ministry of Education (MoE), told Asia-Plus some 100 school students from Dushanbe had given papers at the session on various subjects, including chemistry, physics, mathematics, ecology, economic sciences, etc.
According to him, the goal of the event is to involve school students into scientific activities. Nozimov said that the results of scientific works of school students will be summed up at the 36th session of the Small Academy that is annually held in May.
He added that participants at a January 4 session had been given membership cards of the Small Academy that will allow them using library of the National Academy of Sciences and provide them with free access to Internet of the National Academy of Sciences.
Tajikistan’s Small Academy has worked for some 40 years and some 300 its members have become known scientists of Tajikistan.
