DUSHANBE, February 7, Asia-Plus -- An official presentation of the Second Phase of the Primary Professional Education Reform Project will be held at the “Mercury” Hotel in Dushanbe on February 12.
The event is held by the Ministry of Education (MoE) under financial support of the European Commission (EC), the source at a MoE said.
According to him, the second phase of the project, launched in January, is dedicated to promote introduction of international and regional experience in reforming the primary professional education.
The two-staged project for reforming the primary professional education was launched in Tajikistan in 2006. “The first phase was aimed at determining the key tasks on reforming the vocational-technical schools in the country,” the MoE source said.
The second phase, which will also last for two years, includes elaboration and introduction of curricula and education programs on selected specialties. During the send year of the phase, the curricula and programs will be tested in a number of vocational colleges.
