DUSHANBE, March 18, Asia-Plus -- Tajikistan has sent the first bulk of farm produce to Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MoEDT), the first bulk included 50 tons of carrots, cabbages and onions.
Tajikistan sends farm produce to Kazakhstan under an agreement concluded between the ministry and Kazakhstan’s state company Agro-Consulting-K, the source at a MoEDT said.
The Kazakh company has also concluded the similar contract with Uzbekistan.
“In all, five convoys carrying farm produce are supposed to be sent to Kazakhstan until May under the mentioned contract,” the source said.
Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are scheduled to send a total of 1,800 tons of fresh vegetables to the Karaganda until May.
