DUSHANBE, April 1, Asia-Plus -- An operation carried out by drug control officers in the village of Navobod, Khatlon’s Shuroobod district on March 31 led to the arrest of Afghan drug trafficker, according to the Drug Control Agency (DCA).
The source at the counter narcotics agency said that the detainee proved to be resident of Afghan Badakhshan province Habibullo valadi Qurbon. Narcotic drug that tested positive to marijuana weighing more than 81 kilograms was confiscated from him, according to the source.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the Afghan drug trafficker and an investigation is under way.
