KULOB, April 8, Asia-Plus -- Over the first three months of this year, 197 new cases of tuberculosis have been registered in Khatlon’s Kulob region, which is 8 cases more than in the same period of 2007, Asia-plus has learned at the Kulob Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision.
The source at the Kulob Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision said that the largest numbers of new TB cases had been registered in the Vose and Kulob districts – 71 and 56 cases respectively.
Over the past three years, no new TB cases have been reported in the Muminobod and Baljuvon districts, the source stressed.
“From five to ten new TB cases have been registered in the remaining five districts,” said the source, “Two new TB cases have been reported in Khovaling.”
