DUSHANBE, April 9, Asia-Plus - A ten-day training course for local medical workers on basic computer skills, staged in the Sughd province under support of the Community and Basic Health Project Implementation Unit (PIU), was launched in Khujand on April 7.
Speaking an interview with Asia-Plus, Nargis Qosimova, public relations coordinator, PIU, said that some 300 local medical workers are taking the course, which lasts until April 17.
According to her, they have already begun delivering computers to the district health departments, hospitals and primary health care centers in 41 districts of the Sughd and Khatlon princes.
The Community and Basic Health Project for Tajikistan aims to increase access to, utilization of, and patient satisfaction with health services in project-supported areas, and to build capacity and efficiency at national, oblast and rayon levels in administering a basic package of health benefits and introducing financing reforms in primary health care.
