KULOB, May 7, Asia-Plus  -- A board meeting of the Minister of Health (MoH), presided over by Health Minister Nusratullo Salimov, was held in Kulob on May 6.  

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Nabijon Shamolov, the head of the Kulob directorate for control of medical and pharmaceutical activities, said that by board’s decision Ms. Malika Fayzova was relieved of her position of head physician in Kulob maternity house # 2 for negligence.  

The head physician at the central district hospital in the Hamadoni district, Hamadon Yusupov, was recommended to terminate his employment contract voluntarily.  

The deputy head of the Khatlon health directorate in charge of the Kulob region, Alisher Kobirov, was given a month to remove shortcomings, existing in the Kulob health sector.

The board meeting also discussed the results of inspection carried out by the ministry’s team in the Kulob region last month.  The team has found state of the health sector in the Kulob region unsatisfactory.
