DUSHANBE, May 12, Asia-Plus -- Tajik-Afghan intergovernmental commission for economic and trade cooperation is concluding its work in Kabul, Afghanistan today, Asia-Plus has learned at the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC).
The source at a MoTC said that during its stay in Kabul, a Tajik delegation, headed by Transport and Communications Minister Abdurahim Ashour who is also co-chairman of the Tajik-Afghan economic commission, held a number of meetings with high-ranking Afghan state officials to discuss cooperation issues.
The Tajik delegation members, in particular, held talks with Afghan ministers of economic planning, commerce and industry, regional development, as well as deputy Afghan defense minister in charge of technical issues, Baryalai Hasam, the MoTC source said.
In the meantime, Afghanistan.ru reported that Tajik delegation’s discussions with Afghan minister of transport and civil aviation, Hamidulla Kadiri, had focused on discussing ways to expand transportation cooperation between the two countries. The sides came to an agreement on launching regular bus route from the Afghan city of Kunduz to the Tajik capital of Dushanbe.
