KHUJAND, May 19, Asia-Plus -- Construction of a bridge across the Syrdarya River in Khujand, which is par of the Dushanbe-Chanak road project, is expected to be finished in October this year, Mirzoali Mansourov, manager of the fourth section of the project, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
“The bridge construction project is proceeding at good pace,” said Mansourov. “We have already assembled three spans of the bridge and it remains to assemble two others.”
The bridge will be 427 meter long and join the city of Khujand and the Bobojonghafurov district, the manager said. It will be the fourth bridge across the Syrdarya River.
