DUSHANBE, May 22, Asia-Plus -- Tajikistan’s Red Crescent Society (RCS) has distributed generators with capacity of 40 kW each to seven mental hospitals to mental hospitals in Dushanbe, Kulob, Qurghon Teppa, Khujand, Isfara, Tursunzoda and Rudaki, Ms. Madina Sayfiddinova, RCS media officer, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to her, the generators provided by the Netherlands Red Cross have been distributed within the framework of the project for providing urgent assistance to the frost-affected population through providing mental hospitals with generators, which is supported by the European Commission Humanitarian Aid Department (ECHO).
Sayfiddinova noted that the hospitals will also be provided with diesel fuel that will allow them making adequate preparations for the autumn-winter season.
