DUSHANBE, May 29, Asia-Plus – Local authorities of GBAO’s Vanj district have been concerned over poor state of Lughad Pass, some 24 kilometers northeast of the district center, that impedes traffic in the district.
According to the Vanj police directorate, a heavy truck KamAZ turned over on the pass yesterday; fortunately, no injured was reported.
The Vanj traffic police chief Mahboub Budakov said that accidents had occurred on the pass before as well. “Local authorities have repeatedly applied to the Pomirnagliyot enterprises, asking to repair the road but because of lack of finance repairs to the road are being delayed,” the traffic police chief said.
