DUSHANBE, June 17, Asia-Plus  -- Representatives of ministers of health of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan, totaling 10 persons, arrived in Dushanbe on June 16 for a five-day working visit, according to the Tajik Ministry of Health (MoH).

The purpose of the visit is for Turkmen and Kyrgyz medical workers to get acquainted with experience of Tajik colleagues in expanding services on reproductive health and family planning and training in proper use of specific products and services in the areas of family planning as well as mother and child health, the source at a MoH said.

During their stay in Tajikistan, the Turkmen and Kyrgyz medical workers are also expected to visit the northern Sughd province to familiarize themselves with activity of the reproductive health center in the Isfara district.  

“In the future, Tajik specialists will visit Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan to conduct training on implementation of the contraceptive management system for preventing undesirable pregnancy,” the source said, noting that in Central Asia, this system is being implemented in only Tajikistan.
