KONIBODOM, July 3, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A mini brickworks in the northern district of Konibodom began working in full capacity on June 2.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, local entrepreneur Abdufattoh Muminov who owns the brickworks said that the plant now works in three shits, producing 53,000 pieces of high-quality baked brick that meets all building standards.
“Introduction of the enterprise into operation will allow meeting requirements of the population in baked bricks; before that, they mainly used adobes,” said Muminov, “The most important thing is that the plant has allowed placing 50 unemployed in jobs.”
He noted that they plan to arrange production of plasterboard before the end of this year that will allow creating another 15 jobs.
In the meantime, the deputy Konibodom mayor, Ahrorkhon Sarimsoqov, said that another brickworks with capacity of 13,000 bricks a day will be launched in the district before the end of this year.
