DUSHANBE, July 18, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A round table meeting to discuss a draft code of professional ethics for Tajik journalists opened at the Center for Strategic Studies in Dushanbe today morning.
The meeting is staged by the public association, Ittiloot va Muoshirat (Information and Communication), in cooperation with the MFA information department.
The meeting that has brought together journalists and senior representatives of state-run and independent media as well as representatives of some international organizations and diplomatic missions accredited in the country is also considering a draft oath for journalists.
We will recall that a two-day training seminar entitled “Journalists’ Ethic Code: International Standards and Problems of Professional Ethics in Tajikistan.
